  • Introduction

    • Celeste is born 895 meters (2,937 feet) above sea level, where the vines and the sky form a magical connection, resulting in a wine filled with the freshness, emotion, and intensity of a starry night

  • Vineyard Profile

    • The area’s topography is gentle, characterized by high plateaus traversed by steep, narrow valleys that give the region its distinctive morphology. The area is located at 895 meters (2,937 feet) above sea level, which has a significant influence on the region’s climate and winegrowing. Specifically, the vineyard sits atop deposits from the Upper Miocene and Quaternary periods. The predominant Upper Miocene lithology is based on grey limestone interspersed with marl, whereas the Quaternary areas are mostly composed of clay. The soils that formed on top of these materials tend to exhibit medium to fine textures and are very rich in carbonate.

    • Appellation: DO Ribera del Duero
  • Vintage Report

  • Tasting Notes

    • This wine has a lovely dark cherry red color with subtle warm toasty glints. The aromatic expression is clean, with notes of flowers (wild scrub) and black fruit (blackberry jam) over smoky, toasty undertones (coffee). It is luscious and wonderfully velvety, well-constructed and with the substance of a great wine, supported by the clean, spiced oak from its good aging.

  • Celeste Crianza, DO Ribera del Duero — 2019 – Wine Enthusiast – 94 Points

Dark ruby in the glass, this wine offers blackberry, cocoa powder and crumbled sage aromas. It is smooth in the mouth, with silky tannins and black cherry, blackberry, citrus zest, milk chocolate and violet flavors that dissolve into an enduring finish.

  • Celeste Crianza, DO Ribera del Duero — 2019 – James Suckling – 92 Points

"Dark plums and black cherries with some black pepper and olives. A medium-to full-bodied Ribera del Duero, loaded with fine-grained tannins and vibrant, juicy plums. Rather tight and lengthy"
