Made only in exceptional years, Les Clos is a selection of the estate’s top parcels….Fermented in stainless steel, then aged in unlined sandstone eggs, the 2020 feels as ambitious as its heavyweight bottle suggests, the wine’s creamy richness noticeable from the first whiff. Its plump, leesy texture fills the mouth, making plenty of room for the ripe, spicy flavors; bitter herbals add contour to its fleshy red-plum and cherry fruit. Built to last.
Limpid silver-pink. A complex, assertively perfumed bouquet evokes fresh, mineral-accented red berries, citrus fruits, pungent flowers, and succulent herbs. Dry and sharply focused on the palate, offering concentrated strawberry, pomegranate, blood orange and honeysuckle flavors and a hint of tarragon. Shows superb clarity and mineral-drive on the incisive finish, which hangs on with outstanding tenacity and repeating floatily.
