  • Tasting Notes

    • Bright, carbonic, candied fruit notes with floral pastilles of violets and roses, savory thyme, lavender, and sweet tarragon make for a beautifully complex bouquet. The core flavors are ripe but vibrantly crunchy, hood strawberries, black raspberries, red beets, and cherries with a distinct iron mineral-laden structure. This wine is bright and bursting with succulent juicy flavors and mouthwatering acidity, but also has a fine-knit tannic mineral frame and a maritime salinity that make this both very fun and very serious at the same time.

  • Pinot Noir, Cumberland Reserve, Willamette Valley — 2019 — Vinous — 93 Points

Vivid ruby. Musky cherry and red currant aromas, along with hints of botanical herbs and allspice. Gently chewy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry, red berry, spice cake and licorice flavors that turn sweeter through the back half. Dusty tannins add shape and grip to the long, spicy finish, which leaves cherry pit and baking spice notes behind.
