Domaine de Beaurenard
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Le Boisrenard
Coming from selected plots of old vines throughout the Coulon family’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape holdings. A classic blend of all 13 permitted grape varietals, planted on all 4 types of soils, that are co-harvested and co-fermented, make this a fine complex wine.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is characterized by the diversity of its soils, with a mosaic of plots where different varieties grow together on limestone rock, round pebbles on a clay substrate with varying amounts of iron, and fine sedimentary sand. These old vines range in age from 60 to 100 years old!

"It's a gorgeous effort offering juicy black cherry and darker berry fruits, medium to full-bodied richness, a pure, seamless mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and youthful yet pure aromatics of peppery garrigue, sappy flowers, graphite, and new leather. It needs 2-4 years, if not more, of bottle age and should see its 20th birthday in fine form. It's another absolutely brilliant wine from this estate."

"Dark in colour. A powerful, tense style, with damson and sloe flavours, tight tannins and good acidity; a touch hard, so needs time, but will be good. Lacks the elegance of the 2023, but will be complex and a strong, muscular style of Boisrenard. Will be good, but you must wait."
