Esprit Leflaive
Gevrey-Chambertin
A selection of unique wines, Esprit Leflaive was born in the 2018 vintage. At the crossroads of fabulous terroirs from Burgundy and an expertise in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Esprit Leflaive ventures beyond the Côte de Beaune and the Mâconnais, to Chablis and the Côte de Nuits, to explore the wider Burgundy.
Aside from Chablis, the furthest north the Esprit project goes is with several plots of Gevrey going into this excellent cuvée. Certainly a wine (like the Nuits St. Georges Villages) that punches well above the weight of its classification.

A beautiful wine with a sustained color. The nose is complex with notes of black fruits and earthy undertones. The palate is structured with coated tannins giving it an impression of smoothness.

"A beam of cherry runs through this red, augmented by rose hip and wild herb flavors. Lean and firm, this plays out on the finish, with earth and savory herb accents."
— Bruce Sanderson, 2025
