    • Rossj-Bass is produced from three separated vineyards in the Langhe district: two of them, Rossj and Bass – and both were planted in 1984, are located in area surrounding the village of Treiso. Rossj-Bass includes also Chardonnay grapes from a vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba.

  • Vintage Report

    • We feared a repeat of the 2022 drought when, from October to April, we experienced a severe water shortage. The Tanaro river was dry in March and the hills were barren. However, the season took a turn starting May 1st due to a sudden climate change. Heavy rain and unusually low temperatures in May and June increased plant productivity and extended the maturation period. July was hot and dry, and we narrowly avoided a severe hailstorm on the 7th. August had erratic weather, with temperature fluctuations and a storm. Despite larger grape bunches due to the heat, the increased concentration balanced the skin to pulp ratio. We began harvesting the white grapes on August 21st.

  • Tasting Notes

    • The 2023 Rossj-bass presents a powerful burst of tropical fruit and citrus flavors. The concentrated flavors reveal layers of mango, mandarin, cedar, and a slight hint of spice, floral notes, anise, and vanilla. The structure is solid, delivering elegance through its woven acidity. The finish is wellbalanced, leaving a lasting impression of sweet citrus.
