Vigna Castel Ringberg Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige DOC
Made exclusively from grapes sourced from their famed Vigna-designated "Castel Ringberg" vineyard. The Lagrein, grown on warmer, southeast- and southwest-facing sites with calcareous soils rich in clay and sand, the benefits from ideal ripening conditions, allowing for clear fruit expression and balanced acidity.
Vintage Factsheets
Vigna “Castel Ringberg” has variable altitudes ranging from 330 to 400 meters above sea level and features a variety of soils. The higher areas, extending into the “Mendel” ridge of the Dolomites, consist of 30,000-year-old Adige River gravel. The balanced, elegant character of the wines, made from a variety of native and international varieties, is influenced by the lake and the strong drying southerly wind known as “Ora”. Calcareous soils with morainic substrata and loose limestone are found in lower zones.

"The nose is an explosion of lush fruit, ripe berries and jammy plums with a hint of something exotic, like a reduced sweet and sour sauce, that adds an intriguing pop to the nose. Dark and spicy notes abound, giving the impression of richness without going overboard. It’s walking a tightrope between decadence and restraint. A wine worthy of center stage at the dinner table with something hearty and rich.
