  • Giampiero Bertolini

    Giampiero Bertolini has been CEO of Biondi-Santi since 2018. Giampiero holds a master’s degree in Economics and Marketing from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and took part in an International Marketing Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He began his career in 1991 at Procter & Gamble, where he took on several marketing roles with growing responsibilities over a period of almost ten years. In 1998, he moved to the Centro Chimica S.r.l. company as a partner. In 2002, Giampiero joined Marchesi de Frescobaldi Group as Marketing Director at the beginning and then taking over the responsibility of Global Marketing and Sales Director for four brands. He has spent 16 years at Frescobaldi Group. CEO of Biondi-Santi since November 1, 2018, his mission is to further expand the value and the importance of the brand to reinforce its presence among the greatest wines of the world. This will be accomplished by continuously improving the quality of the wines, with the utmost respect for Biondi-Santi’s traditions and history, and by strengthening the presence of Biondi-Santi in the best restaurants worldwide and in the most prestigious private wine collector’s cellars. Giampiero was born in Quito (Ecuador), he is married and is the father of one boy and two girls. He is a lover of outdoor sports such as skiing, tennis, and golf, as well as listening to the music and traveling.

  • Federico Radi

    Federico Radi is the Viticulture and Winemaking Director of Biondi-Santi. Federico holds a degree in Agronomy from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and a master’s degree in Oenology from the Università degli Studi di Siena. His working career has permitted him to gain extensive experience and expertise in the production of Sangiovese, beginning in 2004 at Villa Mangiacane where he took the role of Production Manager. He subsequently took a similar role at Chianti Classico estate Isole e Olena and at Belguardo – Marchesi Mazzei Estate in Maremma, before joining Biondi-Santi in 2017. At Biondi-Santi, Federico has had the opportunity to immerse himself in a century-old winemaking tradition and to gain intimate knowledge of a unique terroir, becoming the shepherd of the vineyards which gave birth to Brunello di Montalcino. He has embraced the challenge of bringing the Biondi-Santi heritage into the future and, where possible, further evolving its concept of excellence through new state-of-the-art studies of the terroir, while maintaining unaltered the distinctive Biondi-Santi style. Tuscan bred and raised, Federico is sincere and warm-hearted. He nurtures a profound love of everything which involves nature and the outdoor life.
