Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes — 2021

Vinous
95

"The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has a very old-school nose: shucked oyster shell and sea spray here, touches of petrichor. It's backward for now, but there is clearly a lot of intensity here. The palate is well-balanced with a killer line of acidity, linear and focused with a touch of lime and grapefruit towards the sustained finish. Superb.”

Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles — 2021

Vinous
95

"The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru has another quite backward bouquet of petrichor, limestone and light chalky scents. The palate is very well-balanced, the most powerful of the Premier Crus, with great depth and slightly more grip and depth on the finish. Excellent.”

"The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a very flattering bouquet of apricot and quince aromas, combining effortlessly with the malic fruit. The palate is tensile on the entry with a cutting line of acidity, fresh and sapid, with a precise and intense finish. Excellent.”

Bienvenues Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru — 2021

Vinous
96

"The 2021 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a focused, uncompromising bouquet with a strong marine influence: touches of oyster shell and a hint of orange blossom. The palate is very well-balanced with a twist of sour lemon. There’s very good depth – it’s sapid and quite bold towards the finish. This is a Bienvenue with driving ambition.”

Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru — 2021

Vinous
96

"The 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru actually has a more delicate and refined bouquet compared to the Bienvenue. It needs time to open - stunning delineation. The palate is very well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, good weight and density. I do wonder if the Bienvenue plans to give it a run for its money in this vintage? Why not?”

Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru — 2021

Vinous
98

"The 2021 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has an almost crystalline bouquet full of tension, crushed limestone and light touches of green apple mixed with Alpine stream. The palate is medium-bodied, but wow, there is incredible precision here. It’s crystalline in quality, with perfect acidity and a razor-sharp yet enormously persistent and tender finish. This is an outstanding Chevalier-Montrachet.”

"We tasted this a couple of years ago. Aromas of ink, tar, blackberries, blueberries and lead pencil follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate with firm and medium velvety tannins. Solid with great length and beauty. Needs time to soften but a great wine."

“Made with a grape that was almost extinct before being rescued by the Torres family, this deeply hued red wine has aromas of black and red cherry, with a hint of mint and touch of florality. Gorgeous acidity and polished tannins encase black-plum, cassis, cocoa butter and fennel-pollen flavors that wind down to a finish infused with a touch of juniper.”

“Elements of eucalyptus and juniper grace the cherry and raspberry fruit in this intense, complex red. Mineral and spice accents chime in as this builds to a long aftertaste. The texture is supple and there's plenty of energy on the resonant finish, where a chalky feel adds to the overall appeal.”
