Benanti
Etna Rosato DOC
Benanti Rosato is made from a select blend of grapes sourced from vineyards located on the northern, south-eastern, and south-western slopes of Mount Etna. The unique terroir of these volcanic slopes imparts the wine with a vibrant character, marked by crisp acidity and delicate minerality. The wine displays a beautiful balance of fresh red fruit flavors and subtle floral notes, offering a refreshing and elegant expression of Etna’s diverse landscapes. A Rosato that is both vibrant and singular capturing the essence of the mountains.
The vineyards are located at altitudes of 500 to 700 meters (1,600 to 2,300 feet) above sea level, in a mountain and high-hill climate characterized by significant temperature fluctuations, high luminosity, and humidity during the cooler season. The vines, averaging 25 years of age, are trained using the spurred cordon system. The soils are sandy, volcanic, and rich in minerals, with a sub-acidic reaction that enhances the character of the grapes. Vineyard density ranges from 6,000 to 7,000 vinestocks per hectare (2,429 – 2,834 vines per acre), with yields of 7,000 to 8,000 kg/ha, resulting in concentrated and expressive fruit.

"A clean-cut, minerally rosé geared to food pairing, with hints of stone and smoke underscoring dried white cherry, Marcona almond, pink grapefruit peel and dried herb notes, followed by a creamy finish."
